The two lindens

Once upon a time two lindens lived in two facing walkways.

The one linden was short and sick without many leaves. The other was beautiful, tall and was smelling nice throughout the neighbourhood.

The beautiful linden was mocking the sick but the sick one wasn’t complaining. It was only saying that one day, people would cut both.

So it happened. One day people came and cut both lindens. They cut the beautiful one because it prevented a car to get to the parking! But they also cut the sick linden because they wanted to plant a new linden there.
